Since its founding, the Palm Beach Middle School Speech & Debate League (PBMSS&DL) has worked to expand access to speech and debate opportunities for students throughout Palm Beach County. The PBMSS&DL provides a structured and supportive environment where students can develop public speaking, critical thinking, research, leadership, and advocacy skills while competing alongside peers from a variety of educational backgrounds.

During the 2025–2026 season, the PBMSS&DL served more than 180 student competitors representing over 20 participating schools. Students from public, private, charter, and independent schools came together to compete in thirteen local tournaments, creating opportunities for growth, collaboration, and academic achievement.

Beyond tournaments, the PBMSS&DL supports coaches, recruits and trains judges, and works to strengthen speech and debate programs throughout the region. By fostering communication skills and civic engagement, the PBMSS&DL helps prepare students for success both inside and outside the classroom.
